About The 1882 Reserve
Prior to our ownership, the barn had been utilized for traditional barn purposes: animal production, and storage for hay and equipment. When we became the owners of this property in 1987, the barn was used as storage for both our family and the Delphos Canal Commission. It was also a prime play space for our four children and their cousins and friends. Our daughter Gabrielle, was the true inspiration for the transformation. As a little girl, Gabby dreamed of having her wedding reception in our barn. A very tall order, indeed! As we began to renovate in 2018, an old script numeral was discovered carved into an upper beam, 1882. We now know that this barn dates back at least 140 years and have chosen to incorporate the year into the name of our venue. With the help of family members and friends, within a year all was ready. Gabrielle and Kendall's wedding day was beautiful; the barn was her dream-come-true; and we have many wonderful, happy memories to cherish. Please join us and allow us to make your dreams come true.
